What are Flutes?

You can choose either high speed steel or carbide end mills. Carbide is a good choice for hard metals and very high speed milling operations. In fact, with quality carbide cutters you can mill much faster than HSS or cobalt and enjoy longer tool life. However, you will also pay more for this benefit.
