Since there are different sizes that you can get, you can decide on what would be best for the space where you plan to set up the aquarium and how many fish you plan to put in the water. When you begin looking at fish and the size of your aquarium, you need to consider how much the fish will grow as you don’t want them to be too crowded. Wash all of the items that you’re going to put in the aquarium. Avoid using any kind of soap as this can be toxic to the fish that you put in the water. Start by filling the large acrylic aquarium about a third of the way. Put gravel in the bottom of the tank along with other details that you want to include. This is also the time to add water conditioners. Set up the filter and the tubing to keep the water circulating so that it’s not stagnant for your fish. However, you’re still going to need to clean the aquarium every so often so that your fish have a clean environment. Try to use items in the tank to hide the equipment that is used as this will be more appealing to look at and can often prevent your fish from getting into the equipment and getting hurt. Continue filling the tank with water until it’s just below the top. Cycle your tank before adding your fish to make sure the water is safe.
